My colleague Madeline recently celebrated her 21st birthday in London.
What to give Maddy for her birthday lunch?
We chose Chateau Musar 2000 to see which of these 21-year olds has aged best 🥳.
As a baby, Musar 2000 was (according to Musar itself) “tannic, concentrated and powerful, but very well-balanced.”
The millenium Musar is now as smooth as a polished table, with fluent acidity. Like Maddy, it has many more years ahead of it 😁.
(It’s worth decanting this Musar, to separate the sediment from the wine.)
In addition to the 2000, we retain a good selection of older Musar vintages: 1956, 1959, 1960, 1964, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1974, 1978, 1979, 1997, 1998, and 2003 😮💨.
Stay well and thanks for your continued support.
