The 1986 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru Monopole is a rare, structured, and savoury red Burgundy from France.
Coming from a cooler, more challenging vintage, it has required long cellaring to tame its trademark intensity.
It has an intensely spicy nose with notes of Asian spices, dried flowers, soy, dark fruit, and earthy sous-bois (forest floor)
The palate features cherry, plum, and mineral undertones backed by a powerful, iron-like backbone of acidity and prominent tannins.
