1966 Vintage Champagne for sale – Bollinger 1966
The historic Champagne Bollinger house in Aÿ, France, produced the legendary, highly-acclaimed 1966 Bollinger vintage Champagne.
This is a classic, top-tier Champagne growing season that a warm Indian summer saved.
Experts recognise the 1966 vintage for its incredible longevity, richness, and structure.
Specifically, Bollinger 1966 blends 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay.
In addition, it uniquely includes grapes from Bollinger’s rare, non-grafted pre-phylloxera vines in Aÿ and Bouzy.
As a result, a deep gold-orange hue now characterises the colour.
Moreover, complex aromas of roasted nuts, honey, dried citrus, and mushrooms fill the nose.
Because of its rich, vinous texture and structure, vintage Bollinger is an excellent gastronomic champagne.
It pairs beautifully with rich seafood dishes like grilled lobster, seared scallops, roasted poultry, or aged hard cheeses like Comté.
We advise that you serve it slightly warmer than young (NV) champagne – ideally between 8°C and 10°C – in a wider glass to allow the complex aromas to open up properly
Please note that Champagne this old doesn’t always retain any bubbles…!

Champagne Bollinger
Bollinger, a legendary family-owned French Champagne house, founded in 1829, is famous for its rich, full-bodied, and structured style that heavily relies on Pinot Noir.
The house celebrates its traditional winemaking techniques, including barrel fermentation and ageing reserve wines in magnums for up to 15 years.
Champagne Bollinger produces some of the most prestigious vintage champagnes in the world, and they are renowned for their Pinot Noir-dominant blends, oak-barrel fermentation, and exceptional ageing potential.
Unlike non-vintage champagnes, which blend multiple years for consistency, Bollinger only makes vintage cuvées in exceptional harvest years to express that specific season’s unique climate.
